Timely doesn’t collect any information about you. It has no accounts of its own, no servers of its own, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking — in the apps and on the web.
Everything you put into Timely — tasks, lists, events, countdowns, focus sessions, attachments and settings — is stored on your device.
While iCloud Sync is on, the same data is also kept in the private iCloud database of the Apple Account signed in on your device, so your other devices receive it. That database belongs to your iCloud account: the developer of Timely can’t see or read it. It is held by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy. You can turn iCloud Sync off in Timely’s Settings.
Nothing else is sent anywhere. Timely on the web is described in its own section below.
www.thetimelyplanner.com is the same planner in a browser. It is a page served from static hosting (Netlify) with no server logic of Timely’s own: everything it does happens in your browser, and your data travels only between your browser and the cloud account you sign in with. Timely has no account of its own, no analytics and no advertising on the web either.
The two clouds are separate spaces. Nothing moves between iCloud and Google Drive, and the developer of Timely can read neither. Apple’s and Google’s own services apply their own policies: Apple’s Privacy Policy and Google’s Privacy Policy. Like any web host, Netlify sees the ordinary request your browser makes for the page (such as your IP address) and handles it under Netlify’s Privacy Policy; Timely sets no cookies and runs no trackers.
To remove what Timely on the web keeps: Sign Out ends the session and removes this browser’s copy of your data (other Timely tabs in the browser close theirs too; a copy a stuck tab held on to is removed the next time Timely opens in that browser). Your iCloud data is removed as described under Deleting your data. Your Google Drive data is removed by disconnecting Timely under Google Drive › Settings › Manage apps (choose Delete hidden app data), or by removing Timely’s access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Timely asks for each permission only when you turn on the feature that needs it, and works without it.
If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your device’s settings, Apple may pass crash reports and usage statistics for Timely to the developer. Apple collects these, not Timely, and they don’t identify you. You can change this in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.
Delete items in Timely, or delete the app to remove everything stored on the device. To remove what iCloud Sync stored, open Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Account Storage › Timely › Delete Data from iCloud. For the web app’s copies and your Google Drive data, see Timely on the web above.
Timely is suitable for all ages and collects no information from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
